For Maintenance Work June 23, 2022

ALAMEDA COUNTY — Caltrans has scheduled an overnight closure of the State Route 61 Webster Tube June 23, 2022. The closures are overnight only. The tube will be open in the daytime. The Webster and Posey tubes connect the cities of Alameda and Oakland.

The Webster Tube will close at 10 p.m. Thursday, June 23, and reopen at 4:30 a.m. the following morning.

The tube will be open in the daytime. The closures are nighttime only. The purpose of the closure is to accommodate maintenance work. Work will be postponed if it rains.

The Posey Tube will remain open.

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be at the sites during the closures.
