Webster Tube (State Route 61) Overnight Closure For Maintenance Work June 8 and 9, 2022
ALAMEDA COUNTY — Caltrans has scheduled two overnight closures of the State Route 61 Webster Tube June 8 and 9, 2022. The closures are overnight only. The tube will be open in the daytime. The Webster and Posey tubes connect the cities of Alameda and Oakland.
The Webster Tube will close at 10 p.m. June 8 and reopen at 4:30 a.m. the following morning. The Webster Tube will also close at 10 p.m. June 9 and reopen at 4:30 a.m. the following morning.
The tube will be open in the daytime. The closures are nighttime only. The purpose of the closure is to accommodate maintenance work. Work will be postponed if it rains.
The Posey Tube will remain open.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be at the sites during the closures.
