The City of Alameda offers a variety of transportation services beyond AC Transit, BART, San Francisco Bay ferry and East Bay Paratransit (EBP) for those who are eligible, and uses Measures B/BB funds, which are from a one-cent sales tax for transportation, to support the below additional transportation programs for seniors and people with disabilities: Alameda Loop Shuttle, free AC Transit bus passes and group trips.

The City Council voted on April 5, 2022
to discontinue the Free Alameda Loop Shuttle
and transition to fixed route services.
The City voted 4-1 to end the free shuttle service due to low ridership and numerous complaints. We will be transitioning to the Free AC Transit Bus Pass Program for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.
If you are interested in learning more about the Free AC Transit Bus Free Pass Program or you are a shuttle rider, or someone who relies on public transit, contact Katherine 'Kat' Kaldis, Paratransit Coordinator, Mastick Senior Center at (510) 747-7513 or CityParatransit@alamedaca.gov.
