A critical consideration of this project are the sidewalk and curb conditions at each Liquidambar tree site. Decades of tree and root growth have resulted in uneven sidewalks, broken curbs, and street ponding. Any project scope selected by the City, with community input, will include sidewalk and curb repairs to create a safer and more accessible pedestrian experience.
Please review the maps below (one interactive, others are PDFs for each street block) and summary table to build understanding of current sidewalk and curb conditions along Gibbons Drive.
*Note that this is summary data from the July 2025 Hortscience Evaluation and does not reflect the recent sidewalk and curb repairs adjacent to the five recently removed Liquidambar trees.
