Who Can Apply
Ages 12–15 (7th–10th grade)
This internship prepares youth who are not yet old enough for lifeguard or WSI certification by giving them:

Real-world pool operations experience

Safety and rescue awareness training

Leadership and communication skills

Mentorship from professional aquatics staff

A head start toward future employment with ARPD Aquatics
Interns play an important role in supporting staff, protecting swimmers, and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for our entire community.

Preferred Skills & Qualities
Participants should:

Understand basic pool safety and operations

Communicate clearly and respectfully

Maintain a SAFE environment at all times

Swim at or above Red Cross Level 4

Be energetic and positive when working with children

Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and professionalism

Have reliable transportation

Be comfortable working outdoors and on their feet
