Availability and Reservations

LOCATION:  1450 High Street (Lincoln Park)
DAYS: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays (No Tuesdays)
HOURS:  Dawn to Dusk (No Loitering After Dusk)

Step 1: Review Information Review the Bocceball Rental Packet which includes a list of the fees.

Step 2: Jumper Reservation (If you are not having a jumper proceed to “Step 3 Online Reservation”) If you are requesting a jumper with your bocceball reservation you will need to fill out a Facility Use Permit instead of using the online reservation system. Email the completed Facility Use Permit with payment to to submit your request or Fax to 510-523-4071 or drop off at the ARPD office at 2226 Santa Clara Ave., Alameda, CA 94501

Step 3: Online Reservation Go to the online reservation system to reserve the Bocceball Courts. You are required to enter a minimum of at least 3 hours for your rental. Reservations can be submitted up to 6 months. Click on link:

Step 4: Confirmation Permits are approved Tuesday to Friday during office hours 8:30am to 5:30pm. Your reservation is pending until you receive a confirmation email from the Alameda Recreation and Park Department that your permit is approved.

  • All fees must be paid in full at the time the reservation is issued.
  • Acceptable forms of payment:  Cash, Checks (made payable to ARPD), American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA.
  • Revised permit:  Any changes to permit = $25 administrative fee

Alcohol is only permitted inside the fenced area of the Bocce Ball Court and not allowed outside in the Park. You must obtain an alcohol permit and make sure the Recreation and Park Department has received your permit prior to bringing alcohol in the Bocce Ball Court.

The Bocceball Courts are locked and you will need to pick up the key from the ARPD Main Office (2226 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda).  Be sure to bring your permit to confirm your rental.

  • Weekend Reservations:  You will need to pick up the key by 5:00 p.m. on Friday
  • Weekday Reservations:  Pick up the key no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of your rental

During your rental time, no one outside of your party is allowed to use this facility.

At the end of your permit time, be sure to lock the gate after using.  All keys must be turned in to the ARPD Office mailbox drop at the end of your event.

We recommend you bring your own bocce ball set.  The key that opens the Bocceball gate also opens the cabinet inside the courts and should have a spare set of Bocceball, however, we cannot guarantee this.

The use of any outside vendors, such as hired contractors, inflatable jumpers and caterers, by any rental groups must be approved by ARPD prior to date of use and may include additional fees.  Additional insurance requirements must be met seven (7) business days prior to date of event.

JUMPERS:  A reservation is required to add on a jumper.  Jumpers must be set up outside of the fenced Bocceball court.  Inflatables which use water are not allowed.  Personal inflatable devices are not allowed.  Generators must be provided by the inflatable company if electricity is not available in the park.  See Bocceball Court Rental Policy(PDF, 474KB) for list of approved Inflatable Companies.

  • Cancellations:  $40 cancellation fee to cancel permit
  • Rainy Day Policy:  Please advise our Office on the first business day after your reservation if your bocce ball court rental was cancelled due to rain and you will receive a credit on your ARPD account.  No refunds.
