The Underground Teen Center (Drop In Teen Center)

Looking for a chill spot to hang out after school?  The Underground Teen Center (UTC) is your go-to destination - a safe, supervised space where tweens and teens can kick back, connect with friends and dive into fun, hands-on activities.

From video games and a giant screen TV to ping pong, shuffleboard, pool, and classic board games - there's always something going on.

There's no charge to visit The UTC, however some activities may require a small materials fee.

Participants must register prior to attending program and are required to sign-in and sign-out on a daily basis.  There are no programs on holidays and other AUSD non-school days.

2:00 pm to 5:30 pm
For 6th to 12th Grades as of Fall 2025 (Drop-In)

The Teen Shuttle provides convenient transportation from AUSD Schools to the Underground Teen Center - making it easy and affordable to get to the fun.

• ARPD Vans depart 10 minutes after the school bell
• Fees:  $2.00 per one-way trip (payable at time of pick-up)
• You can also purchase a $20 Ride Pass (non-refundable; good for 10 rides) at the ARPD Main Office, 2226 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda during regular business hours
