The Underground Teen Center (UTC)

A safe and welcoming space where teens can connect with friends, participate in activities and enjoy a variety of programs designed just for them. From games and special events to leadership opportunities and community service projects, UTC provides a fun environment that encourages personal growth, creativity, and social connection. Don't forget to join our Non-School Day camps.

UTC Participation is free! Registration is required for safety and accountability. If you need reliable transportation, take The Teen Shuttle. $2.00 per ride (payable at pick-up) or purchase a $20 Ride Pass (10 rides) at the Teen Center. Pick-Up Location Details

The Alameda Youth Committee (AYC)

AYC empowers teens to make a positive impact in their community through leadership, volunteerism, and event planning. Members work together to create fun, meaningful programs and events while developing valuable skills in teamwork, communication, and civic engagement.

Teen Haunted House

The Alameda Teen Haunted House is a teen-led Halloween tradition! Teens work together to design, build, and operate a spooky haunted house for the community. Participants gain hands-on experience in event production, teamwork, creativity, and leadership while creating a fun and thrilling Halloween experience for visitors of all ages!

Friendsgiving Adventure Camp 2026

Come hang out at the Underground for an exciting and free drop in program for the break! With a wide variety of fun and excitement, we've got something for everybody! Join your friends, or make new ones at the Underground Teen Center. Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, 2026. Packed with fun and fall vibes! Now open for grade 5!

Underground Teen Center After Dark

UTC After Dark is a themed evening program at the Underground Teen Center that gives teens a fun and safe place to hang out after hours. Each event features unique activities such as game tournaments, movie nights, music, art, food, and special entertainment, creating an exciting social experience for middle and high school teens. Fall 2026 Dates: September 4, October 3, November 10, December 11.

Teen Trip Series

This series gives teens the opportunity to explore exciting destinations, experience new adventures and create lasting memories with friends throughout the year. From outdoor adventures to cultural attractions and special events, each trip offers a fun, supervised experience that encourages independence, social connection, and discovery.
