WOW Extended Care Program (WOW-X)

ARPD offers many other optional recreational, sports or science camps/classes throughout the summer which take place during a portion of the day.  ARPD offers an opportunity for parents/guardians to combine our before and after extended care WOW Program for an additional cost along with these other camps/classes.  We call it WOW-X!

  • Drop your child off at your assigned WOW site as early as 7:15 a.m. or at least 30 minutes before your child's other class/camp start time.  This will help ARPD Staff transport your child to his/her class/camp on time.  If you are dropping your child off at the class/camp directly, please let ARPD Staff know so we will not wait for your child.  Please do not be late as once we leave the WOW site, we cannot go back to pick up your child.
  • Once your child's class/camp is over, ARPD Staff will pick up and return him/her back to his/her assigned WOW site.  Parents/guardians need to pick up children no later than 5:30 p.m. from their WOW siteThere is a $1 per minute per child late fee for every minute you are late picking up your child from WOW - payable that day.

The cost of WOW-X is lower than the regular weekly WOW price because your child is only at the WOW site for a portion of the day.  Prices for WOW-X will vary due to the length of the other class/camp and time spent at WOW-X.  ARPD also provides transportation to and from your child's other program.  See list below for the complete list of the list of classes/camps, along with the assigned WOW site.

Due to the location of the classes/camps, your child must attend the assigned WOW site for before and after extended care.  EXCEPTION:  Parents may choose either Godfrey or Washington WOW site as their before and after extended care for our Hidden Cove and Trails End Day Camp Programs.

  • Children need to bring a bag lunch daily.
  • Participants are expected to attend their special interest class/camp daily.  Participants cannot stay at their wow site instead of attending classes/camp.
