The City of Alameda’s (City) Vacant Building Improvement Program (Program) provides 50/50 matching grants to business and property owners in the Downtown Alameda and West Alameda business districts for the completion of interior and exterior building improvements to improve a vacant property for a new tenant.

Prior to formally submitting an application, an applicant should review the program guidelines and meet with a member of the Economic Development Division staff to discuss their project.
