Lace up your walking shoes, gather your family, friends and neighbors and join us on an hour-long walk on designated Saturday mornings of each month, May through October! Whether you are new to Alameda or lived here for decades, this is a great way to begin a Saturday morning exploring our neighborhoods and discovering new areas of Alameda. Pre-registration is not necessary for Alameda Walks.
ENCINAL BEACH - WILDLIFE AND HISTORY WALK
MEETING LOCATION: ENCINAL BOAT RAMP, 150 CENTRAL AVE. JUST PAST ENCINAL HIGH SCHOOL AND DOWN DRIVEWAY
This walk will cover some of Alameda’s prolific wildlife and fascinating history. The group will explore Encinal Beach to the USS Hornet, look for nesting Osprey while strolling along the waterfront, and discuss past and future development including future nature reserves at Alameda Point.
