Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) Requirements

The City of Alameda, as a city compliant with California Green Building Standards (or CALGreen), requires that 65% of all debris hauled from a project must be recycled by a certified C&D Processor.  To measure your recycling rate, you must report all waste hauled from the project.

Alameda's Public Works Department manages this program.   Every project has a two-part approval process for C&D reporting:

Fill out the project specifics, designate who will haul the C&D material, and where they will have it processed.
